Awesome spamfilter!
November 29, 2005A “friend” forwarded me spam today, I could win a phone or some shit.
I asked him before not to forward me any chain-letter/win stuff/mass email type of thing, but maybe he forgot, so I dropped him a nice email asking him to please never do so again.
I received an email saying something like:
“BIG DEAL NICK!!! YOU CAN JUST DELETE IT YOU KNOW!!!”.
ole”
So here’s what I did:
I logged into the admin panel of one of the domains I manage. Made up a couple of email aliases: antispam_ole_1@host.com, antispam_ole_2@host.com, and went on like that for 10 email aliases. Then I made one that was called antispam_ole@host.com, which I set up to all of the ten aliases created earlier.
The last step was to create a filter in my gmail inbox, that would forward all email from this user to antispam_ole@host.com.
For people that didn’t get it yet, what will happen here, is that the ole will send me an email. His email will end up in my gmail box, which will also forward it to antispam_ole@host.com. The server of host.com will forward it to 10 of its users, all of them point to Ole’s original email, so he will get 10 copies of his email delivered in his own inbox.
Big deal ole! You can just delete them, can’t you.
