Windows Live Ideas – Homepage
December 17, 2005Windows Live Ideas – Homepage now officially sucks.
I was eager to at least try the windows live mail thing, so I left them my email in order to get a beta account as soon as they would give me one.
Earlier this week, I received the long expected email:
The good news is that the wait is over! We’re excited you want to try Windows Live Mail™ beta.
The “other news” is that you need to get an MSN® Hotmail® account before we can set you up with Windows Live Mail beta.Fortunately, this takes about 90 seconds, is about as difficult as eating breakfast or your favorite snack, and is totally free (calorie- and money-wise).
Sign Up NowWhen you have your Hotmail account, please return to the Windows Live Mail beta page and sign up with your new @hotmail address. We know! That’s kind of a pain when you already signed up once, but it will be worth it.
Thanks again. We hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards,
The Windows Live Mail beta team
After being annoyed with that “Sign up now” link not working, I went to hotmail and made an account. After that I went back to the Windows Live Mail beta page via the link they did supply in that email, and signed up for windows live mail beta as instructed, with my new hotmail account. The result, was a message saying that they’d email me as soon as they had an account to try.
So now I’m expected to check an hotmail account daily? I can’t even find a way to forward stuff from my hotmail inbox to my regular email address.
